1500 Point Iyanden Army Ready To Test

So I've had the opportunity to get a couple of games under my belt with a few different 1250 Iyanden lists.  Now its time to build up to 1500k.  The above army includes:

HQ:
Spirit Seer

Troops:
2 x 5 Wraith Guard
5 Wraith Guard with D-Scythes - Wave Serpent - Shuriken Cannons up and down
10 Avengers - Wave Serpent - Scatter Lasers

Heavy:
Swordlord - flamers
Wraithlord - flamers, 2 starcannons
Wraithknight

Total Points: 1500

I've added the avengers to help deal with hordes and to add another quick element to the army.  Loving the swordlord, the wraithlord with 2 starcannons not so much.  Moving up to 1850 I'll reintroduce the 5 wraithblades and flesh out the army with some more pyschic support.  Its become a very fun army to play.

  1. That's a ridiculously small, elite army...
    I love it!
    Good luck, lil' Space Elves!

  2. Lol, thanks man. It is a ton of fun to play. I think I might be changing up the list a bit to work in the new data slate that dropped this morning though.

    1. After giving it some thought I think I might drop the d-scyth wraithguard in favour of wraithblades with axes (wraithblades over wriathgaurd simply because of what I already have modeled). I'll split the avengers into 2 groups of 5 in wave serpents to fulfill my primary detachment requirements of 2 troop choices. This leaves me with 55 points to spend at 1500. WYSIWYG ultimately guiding my choices I cannot change too much in my list. Of the 55 points I have to spend 30 will either go towards the wraithforge stone for the spirit seer or holo-fields for the wave serpents. Also both wave serpents will sport scatter lasers. This leaves me with 25 points to allocate to my list. Not sure yet how to spend them. Thinking one wave serpent will take ghost walk matrix and the other star engines to assure late game objective grabs.

With this list the 2 wave serpents become my deckchair units spitting out anti infantry shots from my back field. The added bonus is their mobility late game being able to drive forward to claim objectives. The ghost warrior detachment is then free to march ahead relying on boosted cover saves and rage.

Will test out the list in the next few weeks.

Moving upwards to 1850 point levels I want to include at least one squad of war walkers to take advantage of the all the benefits that the ghost walker detachment entails. Perhaps then flesh out the list with more troop options in the form of jet bikes...
